The Board of Deacons ministers to those in need, to the sick, the friendless, and those in distress. Some of its responsibilities include providing assistance and support to members of the congregation in time of need through the Caring Committee, providing meals, food baskets to the needy and shut-ins, cards and telephone contact, and child care. In addition, a Charlton Food Pantry is housed in Charlton Freehold and staffed by volunteer church members. Deacons: Class of 2004: Sheelagh Baily, Tracy Blowers, Barbara Conti. Class of 2005: Mary Flynn, Marilyn Palmatier, Barbara Renaud. Class of 2006: Christine Dixon, Shirley Goldstein, Christine Sell.
